Karfas

Karfas is situated 6 km south from Chios town and 3 km from the airport. It has a beautiful long sandy beach and therefore is a very popular place on the island.
The seaside is shallow, thus very friendly to little children.
From the garden of Sideratos Apartments there are only 3 steps down and you will find yourself directly on the beach!
Also amongst the Chiots Karfas is a well-known spot and even though this may be the most popular beach on the island it is not overcrowded.

The centre of Karfas is 600 meters away from Sideratos Apartments but you will find the nearest mini-market already on a distance of 200 meters. This small supermarket is open 7 days a week and has, amongst other things, freshly baked bread every day. Throughout the years Karfas became a lively place with cosy taverns, summery beach bars and water-sports.

A machine to withdraw money, an Internet café and a PADI diving centre belong also to the amenities of the village.
Thanks to its central location Karfas is a perfect starting-point to discover the island.

Car and motorbike rentals can be found on the central road and for those who like to ride a bicycle or make long walks, the beautiful green area called Kambos is an absolute must.

There is a regular bus schedule from and to Chios town and the bus stop is only a few meters away from the apartments.
